Wenjing Zhang

Interior and Architectural Designer/ Master of Architecture candidate at the University of Toronto

Wen is an architectural and interior designer with a focus on sustainability, cultural exploration, and innovation. She holds a B.F.A in Interior Design from Pratt Institute (2015–2019) and is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at the Daniels Faculty, University of Toronto, with an expected graduation in 2026.

Her apprenticeship with Dr. Douglas Cardinal and Idoia Arana-Beobide has inspired her philosophy of nurturing the next seven generations and integrating Indigenous principles into architectural practice. She draws on her travels to over 17 countries across five continents to inform her approach, blending global traditions with sustainable design strategies.

Wen is excited to support the Toronto BioBuild Collective’s mission of advancing bio-based materials and sustainable practices in architecture.
